The Baltic Event co-production market is the best place to meet the North-Eastern European film industry with a complete overview of the year’s audiovisual production in the region and a range of programs open for feature film projects from 18 European countries.

Script Pool Tallinn
A new script development competition will launch at this year’s Industry@Tallinn.
With the cash prize of 5000 euros by the European leading licencing company Telepool, and mentoring of top industry specialists, we will help new and exciting stories to reach the screen.

Only the team of scriptwriter+producer can apply with a full treatment (maximum of 15 pages), bearing in mind that after a pre-selection, at least the 1st draft of the script has to be ready for next selection round. Scripts must be in standard format accompanied by a cover letter.

The scriptwriter has to have either film school finished either experience in the film sector. A director attached to the project is an advantage.
Other documents to be provided:
  • • Synopsis
  • • One episode of the film, maximum of 5-10 pages
  • • Description of characters
  • • CV of scriptwriter and producer
  • • Budget outline
  • • CV of the director, if attached
All documents must be provided in English language.

WORKS IN PROGRESS - SUBMIT UNTIL SEPTEMBER 15TH!
Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event Works in Progress presents 24 projects for international sales agents, distributors and festival programmers on November 29 and 30, 2017.

In the International section, the projects have to match the following eligibility criteria:
Full-length feature film for theatrical distribution with potential for international market in production or post-production stage; Films from the whole world are eligible; The film must not have an international sales agent attached; The film must not have been presented in any previous Works in Progress at international industry events, with the exception of a presentation at an event in the country of origin.

The applicants must provide the following information in the application via online submission form:
• Synopsis (up to 1000 characters)
  • • Short biography/filmography of the director (max. 1000 characters, recent or selected films)
  • • Biography/filmography of the producer/Production company profile (max. 1000 characters, recent or selected films)
  • • A photo or still image from the film (resolution 300 dpi)
  • • Provide links to the scenes from the film (2-3 scenes, maximum of 10 minutes) with english subtitles for preview / selection
  • Special conditions:
  • • Participation includes an accreditation fee of 75 Euros per person;
  • • Once a film is selected, at least the producer must be present during the market;
  • • The official language of the market is English
