Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event reveal Works in Progress titles

26 films in production or post-production looking for sales agents or festivals for international premieres will be presented at the Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event Work in Progress sessions on November 20-21. In addition, there will be a special presentation of upcoming projects from Art Pictures Studio (Russia).

The Work in Progress programme started 15 years ago as a regional showcase part of the Baltic Event. Last year, upcoming international films were added to the programme, and today its two sections Baltic Event Work in Progress and International Works in Progress offer buyers, producers and programmers a diverse and dynamic range of local and international projects to discover.

As already announced, sales agents from more than 30 companies are scheduled to attend Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event this year in connection with the annual Europa International conference.

Three awards will be given out:

Orbital Vox Studios’ Post Production Award - 5000 Euros worth of post-production services including digital mastering, special effects and sound design. The award is given to a project which successfully combines creative and commercial potential.

Baltic Event Works in Progress Award - 3000 Euros Awarded for the first time to celebrate the market’s 15th birthday, the Baltic Event Works in Progress Award will be given to the project with the strongest and boldest artistic vision. The award will help the film gain visibility during its promotion and distribution in the Baltic States by covering related costs in the region.

Think of the Music Award - 2 x 1500 Euros worth of licenses for music represented by Apollo Music, to be used in film and/or promotional materials. The award goes to the project with the best and brightest ideas for the use of music.
